We can apparently expect remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth-of-field, screen-space reflections, new snow shaders, and new water shaders.
While the trailer for it doesn’t focus on the PC version at all, preferring to show off the improved console graphics and the fact that consoles can have mods now, it does show a PC box at the end. I mean, Skyrim already looks pretty bloody lovely on PC, especially when you mod the hell out of it. This has actually taken us by surprise, as we assumed this was going to be a console-only job. Bethesda have announced that Skyrim: Special Edition, a remastered version of Skyrim, will be coming to PC this year.
